Rake Race Guide
What is a Rake Race?

A rake race is a competition on a poker site over a given period, with competitors given points on a leaderboard according to either:
- Rake (taken in small increments from cash pots or also in sng/tournament entry fees).
- Raked Hands Quantity:The number of raked hands you play (relative to other players) will determine your leaderboard standing
What is Rake?
Rake is the money which poker rooms take from cash pots exceeding a specific currency amount, as well as from tournament entry fees from players in live and online poker games.
How much will I need to rake to win a Prize?
Most rake races will pay out the top 100 or more players; some rake races offer tiers so low volume players can compete on a separate leaderboard than the 15 hour a day grinders. It is possible to place “in the money” in monthly rake races on smaller networks (e.g. the Virgin monthly €5K rake race).
How much can I win
Rake Races vary in payouts and structure! check out our homepage Rake Race feed to find out what you need to know for each particular rake race, and we will always offer a rakeback/vip bonus deal where one is available, for the site running the rake race. Note that Rakeback or Poker VIP Bonus / Poker Loyalty Programs can add a significant profit to your rake-racing, or minimise any hit to your win-rate if multi-tabling.
