Boss Media ICOP Winners Announced

Boss Media/IPN recently announced its biggest online poker tournament series to date: the International Championship of Poker (ICOP) – a series of tournaments which spanned 7 days and which comprised of a variety of poker variants to suit all types of players, including Omaha, Texas-Hold`em, 5 card-draw and more.

€600K Guaranteed
The series boasted a guaranteed prize-pool of €600,000, closing with a massive €300K guaranteed main event. Copious daily and weekly satellites meant that players of all skill levels and with varying bankrolls were able to compete side by side for the prizes and glory associated with a deep run in the tournaments.
MASSIVE Overlays
Many of the ICOP events had overlays (meaning that the amount of cash in the prizepool from player entries was less than the guarantee), meaning that player got a lot more for their money when they bought in to the tournament.
Omaha Hi-Lo €25K Guaranteed: The Omaha Hi-Lo event offered an overaly of almost €10,000
6 Max €75K Guaranteed: This event offered a €2500 overlay
Omaha Hi €50K Guaranteed: This omaha event had a shortfall of €18K for the winners to share.
€300K Guaranteed: The main event attracted 742 players (with a €280 buy-in), resulting in a whopping €92,000 overlay, meaning each player who entered for €280 was really playing with a stack worth around €410!
Boss Media Players played Solid Poker
Boss Media players had some sick results in the series. Notables include regular Boss Media grinder "lambik" who came 2nd in the €50k event for just over €9,000, and "Solidpoker" a Boss Media player, who came out in 3rd in the overall rankings over the week. One of the great selling points of the ICOP promotion was the fact that the top three players overall in the series would receive a small percentage share of the total prizepools. 3% of the total prize pool was put aside for the 3 top players of the week. "Solidpoker" netted an extra €3,600 for his excellent and consistent play.

"Solidpoker's" 1st cash came in the €25,000 Guaranteed; with a mini-cash for €1,the main event (€300,000) was the icing on the cake for "Solidpoker". He emerged victorious after grinding through a very tough field of 742 players to win a life changing €71,310.

Poker Superstars @ Boss Media
The series attracted online poker superstars and celebrities such as "BustoSoon" and "rdscrn" as well as many Boss Media regulars, satellite players and occassional MTT players. Given the success of the series, players can expect more top-notch tournament series in the coming months with excellent structures and prizepools.
